Hello to all Windows XP Guru
Can you advice please how I can connect the 5V non Card Bus PCMCIA adapter to my Compaq Evo N200 laptop, which detects only TI Card Bus 1410 controller and refuses to load Intel PCIC compatible driver, giving errors 10 or 39. They say that on Toshiba notebook there is not such a problem, because in Toshiba's BIOS you can predefine Card Bus or PCIC mode
How to cope with the problem in this case
Thanks in advance

The cardbus driver of XP should handle non-cardbus cards as well so
just go ahead and insert your pcmcia device.
XP will detect it and ask for a driver.
Don't tamper with bios or any oblsolete pcmcia drivers.
If you still have problems with it, post to alt.periphs.pcmcia.

regards,

Hi Pave
Thanks for advice, but the problem is that device is not detected. That's why I am trying to change controller's driver.
