I would be very thankfull if anyone helps me with it.
If tried almost everething. I've already installed w2k
server on a pc with a intel motherboard d850gb and after
the installation, w2k does not recognize pci's devices or
video.
It seems i requiere a pci simple controller, but i cant
find it.

thanks a lot.

Hi Jorge,

Have two suggestions:

1.) Get those drivers from the manufacturers website and install the driver
before attempting Plug and Pray. In other words, just after installing the
drivers, uninstall any device found in the Device manager for Video Adapter. Can
you do that? Afterward, reboot to see it the OS finds your device.

BTW, are you trying to use a 64 bit Athalon processor? If yes, that's another
whole story. CouldaShoulda is gonna be the answer.

2.) If this is a P4x32bit system and you get "no joy" from Plug and Pray, go
back to the Device Manager and install the drivers the old fashioned way; by
finding the device and the drivers. You may need to do a small amount of
homework to know all of the drivers, if the driver file is compressed with an
executable expanding installer. You do that by searching Google and the
manafucturers site.

Greetings --

"PCI simple communications controller" is usually the term the OS
applies to an unidentified modem. Have you downloaded and installed
the Win2K-specific modem drivers from the modem manufacturer's web
site?
