I was encouraged to splash out and get an intel motherboard. What a pain it has
been. The fact that it does not have a default video card makes it impossible to
run the computer in safe mode - so a card was installed if for no other reason
so I can see what other people write :-)

I also cannot use my CD writer or my second 200 GB hard drive. The facilities
are there as far as the system is telling me; there are 2 primary and 2
secondary's but only the one connector on the board.
There are some SATA connectors that I was not aware of until I saw the wires
laid about after the installation.

I was sold an ULTRA ATA 100/133 PCI INTERFACE to cope with that but there are no
instruction on a CD and just 3 programs for Win2000, they are as
follows:iteraid.ca, iteraid.inf, iteraid.sys and that is all.

Please does anyone here have a clue on what to do with that. The computer comes
up nicely everytime when initialising with New Hardware but those bits on the CD
do not do anything to assist. Please Help.

For people who may at some time find themselves in the same kind of trouble, I
now have a solution.

Having googled the subject at lenght it seems to be a well shared problem with
very few answers - so, my computer is now working well with 2 Hard Drives plus a
CD and a DVD writer, plus having the possiblity to connect up another 2 devices
in SATA mode.
