i have a computer with a 32 mb onboard graphics card.
I am wanting to get a 128mb ddr graphics card for a pci slot.
so i can play battlefield 1942 at its best graphics mode.
at the moment the game jitters when i try to move even when its on a low graphics mode.
i cant get a agp card cos i dont have a slot for it.
Would the pci card perorm just as well as an agp card.

celeron 1.7ghtz
256 mb ddr ram
100gb udma hdd
thanks in advance.

Even if it did (it doesn't), you don't have much of a choice, do you. Get
the best PCI graphics card you can find. There are not going to be too many
more around. The other choice is to change your M/B or computer.

Hi,

Check the voltage for the PCI vedio card before buying it.
Make sure the nvidia FX5200 can work under 5 Volt or 3.3 Volt (power supply for PCI slot is 5V/3.3V)
Most moden vedio card is using 1.5 volt in the AGP slot.

i found a Nvidia GeForce fx5200 128Mb ddr i think i will get it.
Thanks.

a fx5200 on a pci bus isn't going to give you what you
want.

even the agp version of that is a turd. i would seriously
consider an agp motherboard as you are into gaming. a pci
card will NEVER give you a good experience in today's
games. you may be able to run at low detail, but no
better.

thanks for all your advice i think i will save up some more money for a good agp card and a motherboard.
thanks again
