pci fans

do pci fans exist?i think its goes in the pci slot?apart from the fan that
goes in your pc as required,ive got a pci fan.well a mate told me they dont
exist?erm i got one already.any one agree with me?

Yes and No. There is a fan that plugs into an open slot, but it gets
its power form a molex connector. It's most commonly used to cool down
a video card.

That is, it's not powered from the pci bus. Though I suppose it could
be done.

yes thats what i ment,the fan that goes in a slot to cool the video card,sorry im new to this.i have one of those fans.well i was told they dont exist.so you agree with me?oh thanxs so much.

yes you are right,thats what i was trying to explain im new to alll this,so you agree with me?as i do have a fan that goes in a slot but this pc nerd told me they dont exsist.thanx

Yes. There are PCI fan cards, that have one or two fans on them. Their
only function is to provide extra air circulation in the box. Sometimes
they are used to blow air on you video card.
