interface and the standard PCI slots are parallel interface. so, there
is a considerable difference! For one, they are not even compatible.
So, they're not like PCI!

slower! They're both slots - Right?
However, in all cases the boards are NOT interchangeable. You cannot
put a PCI card in a PCI-Express slot! Neither can you put an ISA card
in a PCI slot. Or vice versa in both cases!
