PC will not stay in standby mode

I just purchased a new HP Media Center PC. When ever I put in standby it completes the process and then promptly wawkes. I have nothing running in task manager or anti-virus programs running and yet it still awakes within a minute of going to standby. I use DSL for the internett and not a dial up modem.

Believe me I'm not being flip, but when you go to the
Doctor and you say "Doc, it hurts when I do this" the Doc
will say "Don't do that". Don't put it in standby mode
and be thankful you don't have worse problems. Check HP's
web site for a solution, call 'em and give 'em hell but in
the great scheme of things, this is not a major problem
and it's not unusual for systems to have STANDBY
problems. You might want to see if there's a newer BIOS
available for your system. Enjoy your new computer and
understand that there ain't no bug-free software.

Thanks for the advice. Phones HP and after downloading an updated bios with no change we (HP & I) found a check box that was checked in the internet cards driver that told it to wake up the PC from Standby. Now it works like a charm.
