pc will not start after defraging

i defragged computer and it will not restart - (also when trying to get into
safe mode it locks up after giving a list of drivers) - i get the screen that
tells me to remove any newly installed hardware or software but i have not
added anything in a couple of months - any help would be appretiated - bluesun
