pc turn off and restart without notice

while i am wworking on my pc it turns off and restart without any notice
..windows is not even shutting down it just acts like some one is hitting the
reset button on the case.is it a problem related to something like virus or
spyware or could it be a problem related to the inefficience of the power
supplies?thank you for the help

Open Control Panel - System - Advanced and click on the Settings
button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom) section. In the Startup
and Recovery window click on the checkbox for "Automatically restart"
to clear it then click on Apply and OK as needed to exit.

If the automatic restart has already been turned off then yes it could
be a problem with the power supply or with the power line voltage.
