On a few of our servers we have been encountering PC time issues. As the
week goes on we lose about 20 - 30 minutes. Now the CMOS battery and
Mainboard have been swapped out in one of our units. The PC time still seems
to be a issue.I rebuilt one of the servers and the PC Time has been
corrected loading a fresh install of Windows. Unfortunently the others are
in a disconnected envirionment meaning dial access is the only way to
communicate. Is there anything that can be done via the Windows software
that would correct the issue of losing time. So far it does not appear to be
a hardware issue.

If you type (at the command prompt) net time
it will tell you if your system is sync'ing it's time with another machine.
If so, then it is that machine that is causing your time issue.
If not, then have it sync it's time with a machine that is running
correctly.

I don't want to confuse anyone on the details but I am in retail and I don't
have anyway to sync time to some other server...yet. I trying to figure out
what the issue is and why PC is losing time. Is it a OS related. The OS has
been running for 4 yrs on box.

Have seen some software cause this, usually running in the NTVDM. If you
have no outside\external connection to connect to time server then it's
unlikely to be a trojan but something someone installed. I would look in
taskmanager and see if some 16bit software is causing the grief.
