This has just started in the last two weeks. Nothing has been installed or
changed. Virus protection up to date and shows up nothing. Adaware shows
nothing suspicious. Computer will just randomly reboot - no logical pattern.

I turned off the automatic restart to see the stop message. This is what I
got.

***** STOP: 0X0000008E (0XC0000005, 0XBF877E18, 0XF21CF818, 0X00000000)

***** win32k.sys - Address BF877E18 base at BF800000

Can anyone offer any advice?

Last time I had a PC randomly rebooting, it ended up being a faulty PSU.
This took 6 months and numerous visits to a local computer shop to fix. They
reinstalled Windows, reseated umpteen things. I really don't want to go down
this route again. Could it be PSU related?

Hi

Try the following link to MVP Jim Eshelman's web page:

"0x0000008E: KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED"

Thanks. However the message does not have the words
KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED"
