PC restarts after Scandisk

my pc restarts after it performs scan disk.I tried running it on safe mode..but it does not work.Tried Last known configuration tht too did'nt work.I installed windows 2003 server and all this happened...Please tell me wht to do ?

Windows XP does not come with scandisk. It has chkdsk. Sounds like you are dual-booting, loading DOS or Windows 9x/ME, and running its scandisk. Got NTFS partitions? DOS/Win9x don't understand NTFS.
