PC Reboots On It's Own

I recently reformatted my hard drive and, ever since, my computer has
rebooted itself atleast once a day. I don't even have to be on it; it can
just be on. It's not my Power Settings because I have them set to On All
The Time. It can be hours after I've turned on my PC when it happens, or
just minutes after.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
(I am running WinXP Home Edition)

Thanks,
Bethany

I have seen this behavior run rampant in the past few years when alot of
Motherboard Manf used inferior capacitors. The Caps on the MB pop and begin
leaking fluid, some appear bulged like they are about to split, usually the
random rebooting will get worse as time goes by till it won't even stay
booted at all.
I have also seen something like this with a MB that seemed to be grounding
out on the Tower case. I am assuming that is what was happening, it only
occured in one corner where the mouting screw was, seemed like maybe the
screw was causing the grounding out.
How can you be sure it's not your power settings if they are turned all to
"ON"? I'd suggested turning all power saver options off and monitoring it.
Not sure if any of this may prove helpfull. Good Luck.
