Hi all, thanks for the previous reponses to subject: PC
SLOOWING DOOWN. Things have slightly improved it helped
to take the shiny XP edge off everything in the
performance options.

Can folk advise if it would be good to put music folder on
second hard drive - less effort for system disk perhaps?

Spreading the load across a hard drive (or even better,
across a couple of drives), will help the longevity of
the drive itself.
For performance, any big files that are not used often
are best to be moved to another drive.
After moving the files, run the defrag.
There's a lot of info on what's the fastest set up, seems
more than one hard drive is the way to go, move the page
file off the same drive as the OS, and consider a RAID -
0 set up.

Thanks Martin - how do I move the page file?
