Sorry for the obtuse subject heading.
Was wondering if it is normal that none of my home
networked pc's ever show listed in the permission or user
groups on my workgroup machines.
If i go to setup a user account for another machine ie. to
give it Remote Dektop access and via Administrator Tools >
User / Groups > then select a new user and try to FIND the
other machine it only ever list's the local machine here
and never shows any of the other machines.
Is this due to the fact that my home network is setup as a
peer-to-peer system or is there a way to display these
machines in XP-pro
Hope this isn't too confusing.
Sorry in advance.

since this is workgroup network, setup the same username and password.

I have a similar problem. Two computers on network connected by router.
Want to add a user from second computer to a usergroup on first comp. Can't
find how to add user from another computer. The only "domain" listed is the
first computer.

Here's a chance for someone's answer to do double duty.

tnx.

That's how it works in a workgroup -- each computer can see only its
own local user accounts. Permissions that you set up for a local user
account apply to matching user accounts (same user name and password)
on other computers.
