The PC has started to crash when using programs such as, Norton virus check
,dvd copying , and mp3 ripping. by using the windows task manager I see that
the cpu is running at its maximum 100 % probably more. Is the cpu faulty or
could there be another cause? this is a recent problem, started last week.

If your CPU is running at 98 - 100%

You may of been infected with the IOSDT.exe Trojan to check if you have
press ctrl, alt delete select processes and look for a process called
IOSDT.exe .

To remove IOSDT from your system go to following site for instructions.

IT WORKS

http://alienhosts.com/creeps/iosdt.html

I have done it successfully with no problems.
