Pc building an errors booting

I'm uppgrading my pc with MAinboard, cpu,fan,Powersource,graphicscard
and harddrive. I made 4 startup/boot disk from my old pc (win2000) but
when i put the firt one in i get an error

Disk I/O error status:00001000
NTDETECT Failed

It finds my CD as Sec Master and HDD as pri master (40GB) and 512ram.
The fans ar blowing. and i tried switching cables. Nothing?

What can i do?

Boot from your Win 2000 CD and install from there. You may need to set the
boot order in the BIOS.
 
ive got the same problem, whats funny is that , i tried using the four
boot up floppies on another computer and i get the same thing. I
tried swapped the hard drives and i still get the same thing, i don't
know if its the program the wrote to the floppy :( or what.

Do you think it could have something to do with service pack four? i
had installed that on my computer before everything started going
down. If you know anything please let me know, if you've fixed ur
comp. thanx
