Hi,

I have a hyperlink for email, when clicked opens the outlook letting him to
send a email in a seperate window. Can I make my PPT Pause untill the user
has written the email and sent it.

Thnx
Kirn

It you set the slide to transition on mouse click, the user must close the
outlook window to return to return to the presentation. Then they would click
on the slide to proceed. Or, you could add a button to the slide and link it to
Next Slide. The results would be the same.

Appreciate your reply sonia. Can u please elaborate on how I could set the
entire slide to transition on mouse click without writting code. Do u mean to
insert a action button? Can we do it without any buttons?

I'm referring to the setting you make when you go to Slide Show > Slide
Transition. This is done for each slide. I'm not sure how your presentation is
set up, but if the slide with the hyperlink to email is set to advance
automatically after XX seconds, change it to advance "On mouse click" only.

Hi Sonia,
On my slide transition, it is On mouse click by default. I have a action
button on which I have placed a email(hyperlink), when the users click email
outlook opens up but my flash conversion of the PPT presentation is still
going on.

Thnx,

I'm sorry. Can you explain what you mean by "my flash conversion of the PPT
presentation is still going on". If there is a Flash movie running when the
user clicks on the button for email, PowerPoint probably continues to play the
Flash. If so I don't know of how you can pause it. Can you put the email
button on another slide instead?

First, does it work when you try it in PowerPoint?

If it works there but not in Flash after conversion, you'll probably have to solve
the problem in Flash or whatever converter you're using.

Incidentally it'd be best to mention that you're working with a PowerPoint to Flash
conversion when you post these questions.

I realize you've said something about it in an earlier thread, but with several
hundred messages a day appearing here, it's hard to keep track of everyone and what
software they're using.

A reminder will prevent lots of wasted back and forth messaging and save you time.

Toward the end of another long confusing thread, it transpired that Kiran was
converting the PPT stuff to Flash. Stuff that was evidently working in the PPT
ceased working once converted to Flash; no surprise there.

Oh, I see. I shoulda known I didn't have the real question. <g>

The Flash bit didn't enter into the thread until quite late in the game.
You had the whole question that Kiran asked. Kiran didn't quite ask the whole
question that Kiran had. ;-)

See what I mean about saving time and wheelspinning, Kiran?
