Pasting with right shift key

For some reason if I have text on the clipboard my right shift key pastes it
into whatever document or programme I have running. This is a real pain in
the backside. Is there any way I can prevent the shift key pasting ?
 
When did this problem start? Fairly recently, one would assume. Try a System
Restore to a date when you did not have this problem.
