Not sure if this is a project or powerpoint question but I have a slide presentation and was wondering the best way to put
a report and gantt chart from project onto slides in powerpoint? I was able to do it with a screen capture but thought there might be a better way. Thanks.

Paul,
Maybe this helps. With www.take-off.as/datapoint you can connect your
presentation to a ms project file, get the information you need and display
it.
But it is not exactly the same as a screen capture as that is an image. With
datapoint you still have to 'build' a report or graph inside powerpoint. The
advantage of datapoint is that once set up, you can update your presentation
automatically with 1 click.

Good luck
Kurt

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

Project has the ability to copy a chart that can then be pasted into
PowerPoint. For other kinds of integration between Project and PowerPoint
you would have to write your own solution (e.g. VBA) or find some 3rd party
solution already developed.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) thinks that is important for
Office to provide better (or any) support for support for PowerPoint
consuming, viewing and/or interacting with data and documents from other
Office applications (without having to resort to VBA or add-ins), don't
forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
