Hi, I often times paste Excel charts as pictures into a
Word document. Is there a way to make the default
layout "In line with Text" so I don't have to format every
picture after a paste?

Thanks much,

Reney

Hi Reney-

Not sure I understand the problem... whenever I copy an Excel chart & paste
into a Word doc it _is_ pasted as an in-line picture. I only need to change
the wrap options if I prefer otherwise. Which versions are you using?

If you have Word 2002 or 2003, you can set the default wrapping for inserted
and pasted graphics (Tools | Options | Edit). Unfortunately, this doesn't
affect Paste Special.

I have Word 2000. I'm not sure where to change the
default wrap options. My picture pastes default to "In
front of Text".

Hi, thanks for responding. I have Word 2000 Pro. Do you
know how to change the default with my version?

Thanks.

Hi Reney-

Here's an opton that I had completely overlooked & just remembered.

If you're using Word 2003, go to Tools>Options>Edit where you will find a
list of paste options for pictures. Set that to 'In Line with text'.

Hi, thanks for responding. There is another person who
also recommended your solution. Unfortunately, I'm using
Word 2000 and I don't see the same options that you refer
to. Do you know of something similar in 2000?

Reney

Unfortunately, there is no way to change this in Word 2000 except with a
macro. I know Word 2000 by default inserts pictures (Insert | Picture)
inline, but I guess it still pastes wrapped.
