I want to copy(or cut) a line of 8 alpha/numeric characters to my
clip board and be able to "Paste" it whenever and whereever I want to
(especially paste it into IE websites). Only detailed responses please...

Well now, Brian, interesting. It is usually common courtesy that if
you are to demand "Only detailed responses..." that you give detailed
requests. Saying please does not mitigate this requirement.
Is your requirement session independent? i.e. do you want to be able
to copy your 8 alpha/ numeric characters today and paste them next
week?
Is this line of 8 alpha/numeric characters to remain the same line of
8 alpha/numeric characters or will this line of 8 alpha/numeric
characters change from time to time during the session and therefore
require the capability of recalling a previously copied(or cut) line
of 8 alpha/numeric characters?
