paste text from one message to another without changing font

If my default font is verdana and I paste something I wrote in verdana in one
email, into another where my default font is also verdana. Why on earth would
it paste Times New Roman? Does that make any sense whatsoever?

If you use Edit, Paste Special, you get the option to paste the insert 'as
is' or as unformatted text...
