paste text from internet

I'm running MS OFFICE Word 2003, which was bundled with my new HP Media
Center computer. When I attempt to copy text from the Internet into Word, I
get a little "UFO Alien" icon on the page and nothing else. I can't fina a
reference to the icon anywhere. This was never a problem with Word 2000.
Help.

It sounds like you are starting Word after you have copied the text
from the web page. This occurs because a third-party add-in is using
the clipboard to paste a button image on a custom toolbar/menu
command.

Either start Word before copying your text or take a look at this
article for more information on how to find the add-in causing the
behavior.
