When I am entering a password, how do I make the typed characters visible?
This would be very helpful when confirming a new password.

Which password? Windows? Internet banking? Word? Excel? Outlook? Other?

Ummm... how many of those have a "confirmation" box where you have to
retype the password?

If you can ***see*** the password then you don't need a confirmation box.

Yup. So the examples you listed don't apply to the OP's question,
right?

The OP specifically asked a question and mentioned confirmation boxes
being an annoyance.

So my guess would be that my original reply "You can't" was correct.

Agreed, but then it beats me why the OP would want a confirmation if he
could see the password he typed on the screen . . .

========================
You need a password revealer:

Maybe the following freebie would be worth a try.

Revelation v2.0
(password revealer)

Just drag the crosshair cursor and drop it on the
asterisks to reveal the password.

Thank you Mr Inzer and "Pegasus". Mr Jarrett, you need to keep civil fingers
on your keyboard. Name calling does not help any situation. I am not an
idiot. Having to retype an entry for confirmation is annoying when the
writer cannot compare it to the first entry. Perhaps it is true that such is
not the case with passwords but not knowing it does not make anyone an idiot.
Pegasus your observation is correct, my concern is with setting up user
accounts. I have Mr Inzer's answer; do you have a suggestion that does not
involve additional software?

Life is not a banquet; it is a covered dish dinner. What do you bring to
the table?

When posting it helps not to be vague but to specify your requirements
exactly right at the beginning.

Open a Command Prompt, then type commands like this one:
net user Jorge abxzyz /add {Enter}
net user Inzzer 123456 /add {Enter}

Type net user /? or net help user to see all the switches for the "net
user" command, in particular those that apply to a domain environment.

Thank you, Pegasus. True, details are essential but their abscence is not
license for incivility. You and Mr. Inzer have made it possible for me to
make someone happy. I wish you and him and yours the best of everything.
