I am running Win XP Pro as a single user computer but I
want have a password set so I can lock my computer so
others can't interfer or see what I am doing when I am
away from it I have found away to lock the computer but
in doing so it makes windows request the password on
start up of the computer. Is there anyway I can get
windows load up normally without requesting a password
and only require one when I want to unlock my computer

1. Click Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2" and press Enter to
open the Windows 2000-style User Accounts application.

2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To
Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name
and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start
your computer.
