Here's a link to a self-extracting floppy image. It's set to
automatically format the floppy. This is a bootable disk, so you have to
boot your computer with it. Basically, if you follow the directions it gives
you you should have no problem. Its not entirely accurate when writing
passwords on Windows XP Pro sometimes (didn't work on 1 out of 6 machines),
so I recommend just choosing to blank the password then change it later from
the Administrator account while in Windows. When it loads it says it's only
been tested on Windows XP Home/Pro up to SP1, but I recently used it on SP2
(both versions) and it only would work when you chose to blank out the
password. That's okay because once you blank the password, you can go in and
change it by logging in as Administrator. Also, USB keyboards are not
supported; you must use a PS/2 keyboard (converter won't work either.
When it asks about SCSI drivers, just press <Enter>. You can accept all
defaults. After you choose which account to change, be sure to read the "**"
lines as they will tell you whether or not it will be able to change the
password at all. When you change the password, be sure to answer "y"
(default is "n"). Be sure to save when you are done; otherwise, all the
changes you made will be lost (defaults are all "n", answer "y")!
If it works, it works. 99% of the time, it works.
