I am using FP 2003 and I would like to create pages that my family can log on to so that they can view photos of thier week old nephew. I am not having any luck using KB301554 (it tells me its for FP 2000). I have also tried KB825498 and I cannot get past step 2 under "Test the Logon Web Site." When I click on the "Password-Protected page link" I get an error message that the site cannot be reached. I have even purchased PageProtectorPro from Webs Unlimited and I cannot get that process to allow 'new' users, so that Great Aunt Mabel can create her own log-in. Webs Unlimited tells me I need to make my database writable via FrontPage. Well I received this answer to make my Acees database writable:
"hit tools/ web settings (database tab). click add, browse to the .mdb in
question, select it and hit OK. hit verify, then publish the whole thing up
to the web via the file/ publish web method."
All that was painless, but didn't help my situation.
Any Ideas?

You may have to contact your host to make the db folder writeable.

You must test this on the live site, not your local. After publishing open the live site in FP, then
Tools | Web Setting | Database and recreate your connection. The database/fpdb folder must be in the
subweb that you want to run it in and the server must be Windows IIS with the FP2000/2002
extensions.

If it's just baby pics, make it easy on Aunt Martha and nix the logon. Just put them in a folder and link to them from your home page. You might want to create a slide show too.
If you insist on a subweb, no need to pass/protect, who's gonna know it's there besides the people you tell? I'd have my baby's pics online for the word to see, but there was no internet then.....come to think of it no PCs either :)

For that matter Scott can just put them in a folder with no links to it, and name the folder something off the wall... who's gonna find it..?
