Is it possible to apply passwords to certain applications
e.g. kazaa or do you need special software for this?

Cheers

Steve

You need to setup a User Account for yourself and password-protect the account.

But won't that only require a password to get into my
account, which i've already got. I want an individual
password on a select few applications and folders because
when i log on I often leave the computer and my ****in
little brothers start copying all my songs from kazaa. I
just want to password protect a couple of applications and
folders aswell as having my own account password protected
do you know what I mean and if so is it possible? if not
is there any special software that will make it possible?

When you walk away from your PC - Lock it.
So unless your little brother knows your password he can do nothing.

Yeah I have started doing that recently but I still would
like to be able to password protect certain folders and
applications incase anyone guesses my password just to
provide an extra layer of protection.

XP, like NT 3.1 on through Windows 2003 only
protect files by permissions grants to account/group.
If they can log in it is assumed they should have
access to the premitted files.
This is how it is designed.
