How do you password protect the screensaver in Windows
XP. When selecting a screensaver, it enables you to
check password protection but could not find where I am
prompted to enter an actual password.

Thanks.

The "password" is the password of the currently logged on user.
So your screen saver kicks in and then if you provide input the screen save
then requests that you re-enter your logon credentials.
You are not setting a password for the screen saver it uses regular Windows
logon security.
