password protected folders

Okey, here's what happen. My computer crashed and had to delete some of the accounts. My account is password protected. I believe when my account was deleted, the computer normally asks you if you want to delete the files in that account, I chose "No". Now when I try to access that folder in my new account. It keeps saying "Access Denied" since that folder isn't under "my shared folder". Is it posible to gain access to that folder again?
