Password Protected Folder?

In the midst of the SP2 pain and agony I have a hopefully
simple question: Is it possible under WinXP Pro SP1 to
create a folder on a drive that is password protected? I
know you can create zipped folders, but I have been
unsuccessful in making them password protected. Short of
creating a ZIP file that is PW protected I can't see any
other way.

Thanks.

Encryption is the only other way. See this:

Don't forget to backup you EFS certificate!

That's kind of what I thought. Thanks for the reply.
Appreciate it. I think in the long run it will be easier
to PW protect a ZIP file as I might want to backup and
restore the files also.
