Password protect individual folders

Hello,

Doing this is pretty simple. Just right click on the folder icon > Click
'Properties' > Go to the sharing tab > Check the box that says 'Make this
folder private'. It will now only work for your account (which basically
protects it from other people from accessing it).

Although it doesn't actually ask you for a password when you open up your
folder, I think it should work out.

Tom;
Windows XP is not designed that way.
Instead create profiles for other users and use Permissions to control
access:

Turning off simple file sharing appears to have been disabled in XP Home
SP2, at least it's not where Microsoft's KB instructions say to find it.
In XP Pro, it's in the same area although there again is no Advanced tab
the instructions refer to..

Can anyone tell me how to disable it in XP Home SP2?

Simple File Sharing is hard wired and can not be disabled in Windows XP
Home.
Instead boot to Safe Mod to see the Security tab.
