You can "secure" a zipped folder, otherwise you need third party software AFAIK. Right-click folder > Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder Click on zipped folder and choose File > Add a password Jon

R Rick \Nutcase\ Rogers Apr 23, 2006 #3 Hi, To password it, zip it (send to-->compressed file) and you will find a password option on the file menu. To hide it, give it a hidden attribute (attrib +h <folder>) and have folder options not show hidden and system files. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP Windows help - www.rickrogers.org
