password policy

I configured in my Active Directory the computer
configuration-windows settings-security settings-Account
Policies-Password Policies. I con figured password
lenght,password age, complex, etc. The accounts had
unchecked the password never expires and it doesn't
work..why???

Help, please!!

Did you link a GPO with these settings to THE DOMAIN?

Failing to link it, or linking to an OU will have no effect for
password (lockout or kerberos) account settings.
 
The policy apply everything except the password policy

Sounds like it was linked to an OU. Password is special -- only
applicable at DOMAIN level (not site or OU)
