Bob

I'm looking to delete an entry made into the file that stores IDs, etc. for
websites that you visit with IE6. I accidently saved a password when
logging into a site and now I want to either remove it or disable it so the
password is still needed to log into the site.

Is there still a password list file as there was in W2K?

Help is appreciated... thanks!

All you should need to do is:

1. Delete cookies (Control Panel>>Internet Properties)
2. Delete Passwords and forms (Internet Properties >> Content >>
AutoComplete >> Clear Forms {then Clear Passwords})

Thanks Jayso...that did it.

Has anyone tried the following to see if it works?
When the login box comes up with the filled in password, blank it out and
while it is still blank click logon.

Will the system ask if you want to change the password and will it store the
blank?

If this works it is better than deleting all passwords and starting over.
