Password expires in 7 days message before Welcome screen

I upgraded over Windows ME to Windows XP Pro SP1 a while back, and now I
get this message telling me the password will expire in 7 days and ask
me whether I want to update it. If I click NO, Windows continues with
the Welcome screen and normal operation.

My computer is a stand alone computer and not on a network. I'm the
sole Windows login user (apart from the hidden Administrator), and I
don't require a password to login.

How do I remove this message or password? I don't want to be asked
every so often to change a non-existent password.

Thanks so much!

Never mind. I eventually located the solution here:

Go to Control Panel - Admin tools - Local security Policy
In Account Policies - Password Policies set the top four items to zero
(implying disabled) and the other two to Disabled
