password doesn't stay saved with outlook 2002

Question may already have been answered but...

Every time I try to retreive my email from my pop3 account, outlook 2002
asks me for my password even though I've clicked the "save password" box.

There is a KB article on how to fix but it only covers up to windows xp and
I'm running vista.

Any ideas?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings. Maybe you can pick up a
cheap copy of Outlook 2003 or Office 2003 on eBay.
