Password Control

I have windows XP Home edition.I need to set passwords so that user
book in at the welcome screen. I have gone through Control Panel
users, change the way users log in but this only brings up the log i
box after the screensaver has kicked in. Can anyone please explain i
very simple terms how I get people to log in at the welcome page

- Click Start / Run
- Type control userpasswords2 {OK}
- Tick the box that requires users to enter a password
when logging on.
