Pass value from Footer to Header

I was wondering, I have a subreport in a footer and would like to use one of
the values in the subreport to be visible in the detail section.

When I tried to figure it out, it takes the value from the footer and places
it in the detail section that comes after the footer. I need it in the record
that comes before the footer.

Any great ideas?

What detail section are you talking about, in the subreport or main?
Values in subreports can generally be created in queries that can be added
to the record source of the main report.
