I just migrated to Windows XP and it partitioned in a C: and a D: drive. Can I merge or combine the D: drive into my C: drive?
I just got partition magic and am also wondering if someone could guide me the best way to do the above without screwing up my machine. I've heard that one partition is more stable than two.

Your post is a bit unclear.

1 - Are you saying that XP got installed on C drive and D Drive?

2 - You can use the second partition as a backup drive. You can copy
(drag and drop) documents, photographs and other important files there.
That way, if you have to reformat and reinstall XP on your C drive, you
won't lose those important files.

3 - My main hard drive has 5 partitions on it. My secondary hard drive has
three. Here's a picture of "My Computer":

4 - Yes, you can use Partition Magic to combine the partitions if you have
Partition Magic 7 or 8. When I use Partition Magic, I boot into Safe Home
(Press F8 during the reboot process), and choose Safe Mode then choose
Administrator. When Windows boots to Safe Mode, I run Partition Magic. I
have been using PM for years and never had a problem with it.
