hi
i am have a problem that i am not sure how to resolve.my
computer hard drive was partitioned to have windows xp and
98.due to various problems i am currently having,i would
like to remove this partition to allow extra space for
xp.i no longer need 98 but cannot figure out the steps i
need to take to remove the patition.if someone has a
suggestion it would be much apprecaited.i am not a
computer person so any instruction would have to be
easy, step by step for me to follow.
thank you

Cliff, if you have a dual install with Win98 and WinXP then 98 is on your
C: drive. You can delete everything from the
there but 5 files. Boot.ini, cmldr, ntldr, Bootsect.dos and
Ntdetect.com. You can see them on C: if you go into
Windows Explorer on C: select Tools>Folder Options>View. click on Show
hidden files and folders and uncheck
Hide protected operating system files. Do not Format C: or remove the
Partition.
