Partition Magic question

I just downloaded the Partition Magic shareware version, and I have a
question. Is it fully functional, and will it expire? The download site did
not mention any caveats, though there was an option to pay $69 for the
regular version.

My whole purpose is to turn one partition into two, one time only, so I am
not too excited about paying anything for this software.

Thank you.

Contact the Author of the software in question. Your's is NOT an XP

you can get a 30 day trial of Bootit NG, you will love it and I
reckon that paying the $30.00 for permanent use is a bargain

I've got a question too, there is no shareware version of Partition Magic
so.... just what did you download?

I would agree with that -- I use Bootit NG, Image for DOS and
Image 4 Windoze from terabyte unlimited. Kind of geeky, but
very good (and in these days of bloatware, very small too !!).
They have their own news server also for support.

Last time I used Partition Magic 8.0 (while it was still not a Symantec
product), it was not possible to use the DEMO (the free download) to
actually CHANGE a partition. There was a caveat on their site which stated
this. I don't know whether Symantec's site has a caveat on it or not.

Anyway, the ONLY way to change your partitions using Partition Magic is to
PAY for it. Sorry.

But as the previous reply to your post states, the BootITNG demo is FULLY
FUNCTIONAL for 30 days (or it was a year and a half ago. Don't know if it
still is.)
