This is the fifth time I have reformated, partioned and installed XP Home. After installing firewall,(ZoneAlarm Pro) all critical updates, anti virus(Norton 2003) and drivers for sound and video cards everything works great, no errors in event viewer or disk mgr. All partitions formated and checked for viruses. After 3 or 4 days on restart, system will get to Windows Starting, stops and tries to restart. It also happens in safe mode. Started computer with CD and the partition letters are C, E, F, G, then D. Is there any way of getting the partitions in order without delete and recreating?

Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Computer Management | Disk

Management under Storage, then RIGHT click on the drive letter to change

and select the Change Letter option.

you have to change the letters to free up the ones you want to use first.
