I have a p3 933mhz, 512 sdram running winxp home. I Have had my problems in
the past and fixed pretty much all of them. Now my main problem is that
there are certian web pages that just do not like my computer
the main one is a local on www.to10.com and also www.winsupersite.com
as well turnto10 is my major one that will load the main menu at the top of
the page the status bar is full yet the page never loads. this especially
happens when I click a link from another page as well but happens when ever
I go there.

This computer is over 3 years old plus and was upgraded from ME to XP
Though I have not had any of the issues that others had with their upgrades
the question remains Do I need to reinstall the OS at this point I have done
all the cleaning I can with cookies and temp files ect ran ad aware and
spybot
still this continues.

Any help is well appreciated

I assume you've automatically received and installed the SP2 update. If so,
it will say so if you right-click My Computer and look at Properties.

The 1st link is using scripting to cause several popups. SP2 has popup
blocking disabled by default, you can turn it back on. The code may be
requiring execution of the popup before it will load the main page. Tell the
***** to quit shoving popups at you since popups are not compatible with SP2
defaults.

The 2nd site also uses scripting (javascript). Although it works fine for
me, and with no noticed popup attempts, you might have scripting disabled or
some other incompatible setting in IE Tools| Internet Options. Set a System
Restore point before you experiment with IE settings.
