I have a formula in one cell =e5+0.125
(The second part of the formula is hard coded)
I need to separate it out to =e5 in one cell and 0.125 in
another. What is a good way of doing this?

One way:

Select your cell (or a column of cells with similar formulae).

Choose Data/Text to Columns... Select the Delimited radio button and
click Next. In the Other box, enter "+" (without quotes) and click
Finish.
