I keep getting the same answer from to my question and it does not
solve my problem. Maybe I am not explaining myself clearly so I am
going to try again. I am using Access XP. I created a database for a
realtor. There is a table called "properties" and it contains a date
field. There is a form called Report Date Range. I have made a make
table query to create a table called Merge Data (this table will be
used as a data source for a merge letter) based on a date range. I
have put the following criteria in the date field of the query:
[forms]![Report Date Range]![BeginningDate] And [forms]![Report Date
Range]![EndingDate]. I have a form with a command button to run this
query. The problem is when I click this command button the default
access Enter Parameter Value box comes up asking for the date instead
of my Report Date Range form. I have double checked the form and text
box names and they are correct. Every posting I have read leads me to
believe this is possible but I cannot for the life of me get it to
work. Is there something I am missing?

Hi there Tina.

I'm not one of the pros but recognize what you are trying
to do. I've got lots of those neat little forms working
for me. I think I can help. Let me pose a few questions
and possible answers for you.

Is the form with the command button that opens your query
on the same form with the date fields? If not, the form
with the dates has to be open or called to open so you can
key in the dates you want. It has to be open and have
dates in the fields [BeginningDate] and [EndingDate].

Why not put the command button on the form with the dates?
You can run the make table query right from there.

Hope this helps. I'll try to check back. Good luck! B
