Was hitting the shift key, guess I hit the control (ctrl) key and all of a sudden my document was filled with space and paragraph symbols. More annoying than a problem but would be great to find out how to get rid of them....Thanks!

Serenity, Ctrl + * (which is also Ctrl+Shift+8) is the keystroke that turns
the paragraph symbols on. It also turns them off. So press Ctrl + * (or
Ctrl+Shift+8) again, and they should go away. You can also go through the
menu: Tools > Options > View. Clear all the check boxes under "Formatting
Marks," then OK.
