Panasonic dig-camcorder locks up Win XP

Hey everyone,

I hope someone can help. I have a panasonic pv-dv900 digital camcorder and every time I use movie maker my computer locks up. It only does it when I go to capture video from my camcorder. There are no error messages or reports and the system does not try a disk scan when it restarts. I am baffled?????

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have a Panasonic MX8 camcorder and it also locks up when trying to rewind
and automatically capture footage via firewire.
However, manual capture works OK, so I use that.
