Paging File

Same problem, paging file too small. I am nervous about changing the size. Currently it is set on system managed file, when I try to reset the initial size and maximum size I get a message saying 'the system might not be able to create a debuggig information file if a stop error occurs'. I have no idea what this means as I know very little about how my computer operated. Can someone let me know what this means and whether or not this will cause even bigger problems.

Hi Ingrid,

I can't see the previous messages in this thread - but if you don't
get it sorted out post: system drive letter (what partition your
system is on); free space on that drive (Open My Computer and change
to Detail View) minimum and maximum sizes you are trying to enter;
amount of RAM in your computer.

Run chkdsk on all drives on the computer.

The message normally means the swap file size is too small, but error
messages in Windows can be very misleading. It could be some other
kind of hard drive problem.
